With Pro you also get AI Eye Scan (snap a close-up of your eye and Gemini Vision returns observations + self-care guidance) and OptiCoach AI Chat (a personalised assistant grounded in your test history).

Is OptiCheck a medical device?

No. OptiCheck is a screening aid for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device, does not provide a diagnosis, and is not a substitute for professional eye-care. Always consult a qualified eye-care professional for any concern.

How does OptiCheck Pro work?

OptiCheck Pro unlocks the AI Eye Scan, OptiCoach AI Chat, doctor-ready PDF reports, and family profiles. It is an auto-renewing subscription, available as Monthly ($4.99) or Yearly ($29.99). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → OptiCheck Pro → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Your Pro features will continue until the end of the current paid period.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

Open the app, open the OptiCheck Pro paywall (tap any locked Pro feature), and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used for the original purchase.

How do I request a refund?

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.

The Snellen test feels off — am I doing it wrong?

• Hold the phone at arm's length (about 40 cm / 16 in).
• Cover one eye and read the smallest line you can clearly identify.
• Repeat with the other eye.
• Use bright, even lighting and clean glasses/contacts.
• This is a screening only — not a clinical Snellen chart.

The AI Eye Scan said the photo is too poor. What now?

• Use natural daylight or a bright lamp.
• Hold the phone ~15 cm from your eye and tap to focus on the iris.
• Wipe the camera lens.
• Hold the eyelid open gently if needed and look slightly off-camera.

Is my data private?

Yes. OptiCheck has no analytics, no ads, and no user accounts. Photos and chat messages are sent over HTTPS directly from your device to Google Gemini for analysis and are not stored on any server we control. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my data?

Test history is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
